GMK Pressure Seal Gate Valve
The pressure seal is a significant advancement in valve design when compared to the conventional approach of bolting the body to the bonnet as a means of creating a seal. It makes use of the pressure that is present within the valve system in order to exert the proper forces against the ID of the valve body and the bonnet surfaces. As the pressure in the system increases, the pressure seal gasket is subjected to an increasing amount of force. In spite of the fact that the pressure seal only makes use of the apex or toe of the gasket, the interior of the valve is constructed out of this diameter. Even under tens of thousands of pounds of pressure, the toe of the valve will seal when the system pressure is engaged. This will keep the system media contained within the valve.
