Non Slam Check Valve
The use of non-slam check valves, which are particularly built for the conditions present here, is recommended. Because these valves do not slam when they shut, there is no sudden increase in pressure when they are used, as their name suggests. A non-slam check valve features an internal spring that works against the pressure of the opening fluid flow. This spring is located inside the disc of the check valve. When there is a significant enough flow of a medium, the spring will begin to compress, which will cause the valve to open. The spring will then begin to push the disc back toward the seating surface in the valve as the flow begins to decrease and eventually stops but before the flow direction changes
