GMK Hastelloy Globe Valve
There are a variety of severe environments in which GMK Hastelloy Globe Valve find broad application. Some of these environments include chemical processing, pollution control, the manufacturing of pulp and paper, the treatment of industrial and municipal waste, and the recovery of caustic natural gas. Because it contains a high percentage of nickel and molybdenum, nickel steel amalgam is resistant to pitting and hole corrosion in reducing conditions. On the other hand, the presence of chromium in the alloy makes it resistant to oxidizing media. Hastelloy Valve is a nickel-based, molybdenum-based, chromium-and-tungsten-based austenitic alloy that has better resistance to crevice erosion, setting, and stress erosion cracking. Hastelloy Valve is a nickel-molybdenum alloy that is strengthened by a solid solution and has high resistance to reducing circumstances such as hydrogen chloride gas and sulfuric, acidic, and phosphoric acids. These conditions can occur in environments where hydrogen chloride gas is present. Molybdenum is the crucial alloying component that is required for severe corrosion resistance in circumstances that are either acidic or alkaline.
