GMK Full Lined Butterfly Valve
Butterfly valves with full linings are a versatile form of valve that can be used for shutting off or adjusting the flow of a fluid. The disc, located at the valve body’s geometric center, functions as the closure mechanism. The shaft runs from the disc through the top of the valve body and into a handle or actuator. Since the butterfly valve’s disc is always exposed to the flow, it causes a pressure drop even when the valve is closed. Butterfly valves are lighter than ball valves, allowing for faster shutoffs without the need for additional support. Butterfly valves with rubber seals open and close with a 90-degree turn of the disc. To regulate the rate of flow, they can be opened in small increments. This can be done manually, however, an actuator allows for more exact flow throttling. By installing positioners in the case of pneumatic and hydraulic actuators or modulating boards in the case of electric actuators, the flow rate of the actuator can be adjusted in small increments.
