GMK Cryogenic Globe Valve
A flow-regulating valve known as a Cryogenic globe valve, as opposed to a ball valve, has a body that is typically spherical and is equipped with a movable plug or disc element and a stationary ring seat. Unlike a ball valve, a globe valve does not have a stem. The word “globe valve” originates from the body of the valve, which is shaped like a globe, and an internal baffle prevents the two halves of the valve from coming into contact with one another. A plug that is screwed into the aperture that serves as the seat of the valve can be used to close the valve. Discs can also be used to refer to plugs in some contexts. For a globe valve, the opening and closing of the valve are accomplished by turning a screw that is attached to the stem of the valve using a handwheel. In most cases, an actuator assembly is used to control automated globe valves. These valves feature smooth stems rather than threaded ones.
